We said we’d share the formula — so here it is 👇
Going viral isn’t luck. It’s structure.
A local landmark.
A trending topic.
Something culturally familiar.
In this case, we used the statue at the head of Hermosa Pier — a spot everyone in the South Bay instantly recognizes.
Familiarity lowers resistance.
People stop scrolling because they know it.
The first 3 seconds matter more than anything.
Start with:
• A visual that shouldn’t be happening
• A moment of curiosity
• Or a line that makes someone think, “Wait… what?”
If it feels slightly unexpected, you’re doing it right.
This is key.
You’re in the video.
But you’re not the main character.
Something bigger is happening — something connected to your brand, your community, your point of view.
You’re along for the ride.
That makes it feel authentic — not self-promotional.
Wrap it with a tagline that ties the moment to your brand.
In our case, we ended with:
“Move to Hermosa, where magical things happen daily.”
Simple. Memorable. Brand-aligned.
This one’s huge.
On most platforms, a large percentage of viewers watch with the sound off.
(Industry averages often show 60–80% of social video views begin muted.)
If your video only works with audio, you’re losing people.
Strong visuals > heavy dialogue.
If someone can understand it without sound — it travels farther.
So the real equation looks like this:
Familiarity
And shareable content is what spreads.
That’s the formula.
If you’re an entrepreneur, small business, or realtor — this works in any market.
