Corey Gottlieb
After 20 years of collaborative leadership experience in creating companies, growing organizations, mentoring sales executives and generating billions in revenue, Corey continues to embrace challenges and sees tremendous opportunities in Social Media. Corey has built and managed both large and small national sales organizations, created and developed multi-divisional sales units, conceived and sold companies and won awards for innovation.
If you have seen a screen in a NYC taxi, you have already experienced some of Corey's work! He started the business in a one-bedroom NYC apartment and ultimately created the network and the business model for thousands of wirelessly connected screens now deployed in every NYC taxicab.
Corey also has experience in National Spot Television, as well as National Network and Syndication Sales. He was the first head of sales for the UPN Network and the SVP National Sales Manager for Paramount Pictures Domestic Television. In addition, Corey helped conceive and create the first Cross-platform sales organization, Viacom Plus and was the head of sales for TDI (now known as CBS Outdoor) where he controlled all aspects of nearly $500 MM in sales, with over 125 sales people and 22 offices in North America.
Most recently, Corey was the President of EcoMedia. The company creates innovative advertising opportunities for clients to reach their target audience with messaging while helping to fund environmental projects.
Michael Gorman
Michael has 20 years of diverse entrepreneurial experience including the last 15 years in the digital media space. He brings the team an in-depth understanding of the digital advertising marketplace, having held key roles at companies representing all sides of the industry, including agency, publisher, network and technology platforms. He has a proven track record in selling, negotiating, implementing and managing client engagements with many fortune 500 companies including Time Warner, Cendant, Hearst, HSBC, Comcast, HP and American Express.
Michael was an original management team member for the online ad network L90 as the head of business development in NY.
In 2002, Michael moved to the client side joining online direct marketer Webloyalty as VP of Business Development. The 3-year experience at Webloyalty allowed Michael to develop a strong understanding of direct marketing practices while actively building relationships with online marketers.
Michael served as Director of Emerging technology for Omnicom media agency, PHD, reporting to the CEO and advising clients on marketing technology strategy across a wide range of digital platforms. Clients included HBO, Charles Schwab, AIG, Chrysler, NHL and Discovery Communications.
At LiveTechnology, he played a pivotal role in the evolution of the sales strategy and development for the local marketing platform LiveAdmaker. He signed clients such as Comcast, GM, Sprint and Toyota.
Most recently, as the Vice President for Enterprise Business Development at Imagespan, Michael was responsible for establishing and executing sales and business development strategy for the LicenseStream digital content platform.
Steve Umberger
Steve has a nearly 30 year history as a technology executive and entrepreneur.
As CMO of Hiway Technologies, Steve was the first angel investor and one of the driving forces behind the spectacular growth of what became the world's largest web hosting company. Steve's team grew Hiway from fewer than 1,000 customers to over 350,000 in 130 countries. Hiway lives on today as the global leader in volume web hosting under the NTT/Verio family of companies.
Steve next helped turn ValueClick, then a little-known company with just 5 employees, into the leading pay-for-performance banner advertising network. He went on to work as President of ValueClick International in London, where he helped drive the expansion that culminated in an IPO and a market cap of around $1 billion.
Steve co-founded Social Rooster with the same team that helped him grow Hiway and ValueClick.
John Bohan
John is one of the first Internet Advertising executives, having entered the industry in 1994. He is also the Founder and past CEO of L90, one of the most successful advertising networks and ad serving companies of its time. John started L90 in his dining room in 1996 and by 2000, it was a public company on NASDAQ with a $600 Million valuation, nearly 200 employees, eight offices and $50 Million in annual gross revenue.
Like many Web 1.0 companies, L90 fell back to earth and then some in 2001 and 2002. During this time John sold the company's ad serving division, adMonitor, to DoubleClick and the entire company was later purchased by Excite which merged with Ask Jeeves.
For his work at L90 John was a runner up for the Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year Award and he was featured in Digital Coast's Top 100 Internet Executives in Southern California, ranking 39th and 11th in 1999 and 2000, respectively.
In 2002, John launched a consulting practice that founded and ran the Interactive Media Division for Apollo Interactive and helped to reposition the brand image and direction of ValueClick Media. In 2003, he founded and ran i20Events which has produced over 30 conferences and seminars in the U.S. and Europe on the future of advertising and marketing. As the President of i20, he was the conference producer, opening speaker and MC at these events.
Prior to L90, John opened the West Coast office for Interactive Connection, one of Jay Chiat's early investments in the web space. He also sold television advertising for USA Networks and The Weather Channel in Los Angeles and New York. John is a graduate of Middlebury College in Middlebury, VT where he majored in Economics and played varsity hockey.
